Little Mix has been hit with some unbelievable claims about Jesy Nelson, who quit the band in 2020.
The Boyz star, 33, left the best-selling girl group which was formed on the X Factor in 2011, citing mental health concerns before launching her solo career.
Her final track with Little Mix, which now consists of Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, who are all taking a hiatus from the band, was ironically called No Time For Tears.
However, a producer who worked on the girls’ final single with Jesy has sensationally claimed that her backing vocals on the bop, and some of her lead vocals, were recorded by an impersonator.

On Saturday (20 July), Tre Jean-Marie, who produced the song with Nathan Dawe, responded in an Instagram story to the news that the song had been certified Gold in the UK charts, having sold 400,000 copies.
He wrote: “Fun Fact: All of Jesy’s BVs [backing vocals] (and even one of the leads) on ‘No Time for Tears’ are somebody else impersonating her because she was quite literally over it.”
Last year, Jesy revealed that she had not spoken to her former bandmates in years. Perrie confirmed the fallout, telling Cosmpolitan in a recent interview: “We don’t talk, and haven’t done for a long time. It’s really sad, it’s heartbreaking. But sometimes these things happen and people decide they want to part ways, and that’s absolutely fine.”
Perrie, who is engaged to footballer, Alex Oxlade-Chaberlain, dropped hints that she’s written a track about her former Little Mix bandmate and friend Jesy for her debut solo album – and she can’t stop crying every time she listens to it.
The singing sensation Perrie, 30, who shot to fame on The X Factor as one-fourth of Little Mix back in 2011, opened up about the new song she penned about a friendship that she no longer has. The mum-of-one also admitted that she can’t listen to the lyrics without crying, which had led to much speculation that the track is about her epic fallout with former bandmate, Jesy.
Jesy famously announced that she was leaving Little Mix in December 2020, much to the shock and dismay of the girl-band’s loyal fans.
Perrie alluded to the fallout, speaking bout her debut album, and her solo career, which kicked off when Little Mix decided to take a hiatus back in 2021. Speaking on The Zach Sang Show, the mum-of-one said the song she wrote about the friendship breakdown is very close to her heart.
While she did not name Jesy, Perrie said that the person in question was a huge part of her life and that she still misses their bond. She explained: “There’s a friendship that I no longer have. I wrote a song about that. That song – I can’t even listen to it without crying. It is about them and how we didn’t see eye-to-eye. It’s a really sad song. We don’t talk anymore. They were a big part of my life so it’s sad how it all ended up.”
