Patrick Mahomes speaking to team in locker room.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes couldn’t help but take another shot at the Buffalo Bills following his team’s thrilling playoff victory at Highmark Stadium on Sunday night.

Once again, Mahomes and company outdueled a resilient Josh Allen and his Bills, winning 27-24 to reach their sixth straight AFC Championship Game. It also marked the third time in four years where the Chiefs ousted the Bills from the postseason.

NFL cameras caught a fired-up Mahomes delivering a short-and-sweet victory speech to his team in the locker room. The speech began with a shot at the trash talking Bills, who once again failed to walk the walk.

“Hey! They asked for it, and they got what they asked for!”, Mahomes said.

Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins made the mistake of trash talking Mahomes ahead of Sunday’s Divisional Round tilt, warning No. 15 that he had yet to play at Highmark Stadium in front of Bills Mafia.

Dawkins wished “good luck” to Mahomes ahead of the contest, and the latter made sure to keep the receipts:

The Bills won all three of their regular season contests at Arrowhead Stadium (2021, 2022 and 2023) against Mahomes, but the two-time league MVP is now 2-0 all-time at Highmark Stadium and 3-0 against Buffalo in the playoffs.

While the Chiefs try to win their fourth AFC Championship in five years, the Bills are once again left wondering what went wrong in another wasted year of Allen’s prime. Needless to say, a very interesting offseason awaits in Orchard Park.
