Love Island viewers believe that the only reason Lolly chose to re-couple with Konnor was simply down to the fact she didn’t want to ruffle any feathers.
And they also think that she may have her eye set on Joey Essex following their date shortly after her arrival earlier this week. At the time, Lolly enjoyed dates with Joey, Konnor and Ciaran before she admitted that she was open to get to know every boy in the villa, as she didn’t have a type. And when it came to making her decision, she thought Joey was “missing something” with his current partner Jessy and so chose to go with Konnor.
Standing around the firepit, she told the group: “Since coming into the villa, in such a short space of time this boy has made me feel nothing but welcome. I feel like he has got such a great energy, his aura, he’s bubbly, he’s smiley and we’ve been having some great chats that I’d love to continue. It is early days and I appreciate that we are still both getting to know each other but it would be nice to couple up and get to know each other a little bit more.”
Konnor was seen beaming from ear to ear after finding out he was the chosen one. However, fans were not convinced that Lolly made the decision from the heart and it was in fact a calculated move. They believe she wanted an easy transition into the villa. One fan said: “Lolly went with the safe option so what’s the point of this recoupling.”
Another person added: “Lolly just played safe. He is not her guy.” As a third commented: “Lolly went for the SAFE option at the recoupling.” Unlike a few of the other islanders who were star-struck at seeing Joey Essex in the Majorcan villa, it seems Lolly is used to rubbing shoulders with the likes of A-list celebrities due to her job as an air hostess.
A source close to the reality TV star told The Sun: “She works in the long haul first class cabin so has met loads of celebs – she says that Margot Robbie, Renee Zellweger and Leigh-Anne Pinnock from Little Mix are her favourite people she’s ever had on the plane. She said they were all so sweet and down to earth.”
Before entering the villa, the TV star told ITV: “I feel like Love Island is my last resort at this point. It’s something I’ve thought about for a while as I’ve just turned 30 and have been single a long time, so it’s time to find a husband. I don’t want a boyfriend, I want to move on with my life and settle down with the right guy.”
