Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been cheering each other on for months on their turf, but at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, they were both declared winners.

Swift won four awards: Female Artist, Pop Artist, Concert Tour, and Social Media Celebrity. Kelsey won the award for Athlete of the Year.

A week after Kelsey helped the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, he took home the individual awards Sunday night. Kelsey was named Athlete of the Year at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards.

As the name suggests, fans voted online for the award. The athlete award was not revealed during Sunday’s 2-hour broadcast, but the People’s Choice Awards website showed Kelsey as the winner.

There’s no doubt Kelsey got a boost from the Swifties, the name given to fans of international singing star Taylor Swift. The two started dating over the summer, not long after Kelsey unsuccessfully tried to get her phone number on a friendship bracelet.

They eventually hooked up, and she attended her first Chiefs game in September. Their romance captured the imagination of people across the country and much of the world in the past 12 months and 1 week.

Kelsey has been a member of two Super Bowl championship teams, hosted Saturday Night Live, hosted a music festival in Kansas City, and co-hosted one of the most popular podcasts in the country. Now, he is a People’s Choice Award winner.

Kelsey faces off against tennis star Coco Gauff, World Soccer Champion Lionel Messi, basketball stars Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, Sabrina Ionescu, and Steph Curry, and Olympic champion gymnast Simone Biles.

Swift won the Social Celebrity and Female Music Artist awards.
