Sharpe was drafted in the seventh round of the 1990 NFL draft and went on to become one of the greatest tight ends to ever play football.
In the snap he shared, Sharpe looks almost unrecognizable wearing a Broncos hat and old-school sunglasses.
On his lap sat a little boy who would grow up to become arguably the best player in the NFL today.
From 1995 to 2003, Sharpe was teammates with wide receiver Ed McCaffrey.

McCaffrey was an All-Pro receiver for the Broncos who had three 1,000-yard seasons in his 13-year career, but he is probably best known for his son.
The young boy sitting in the picture with Sharpe is Christian McCaffrey, Ed McCaffrey’s son.
“TBT with my power ranger potna @christianmccaffrey,” Sharpe captioned the post.
“You’ve grown up a lot. I’m very proud and happy for your success.”

McCaffrey replied to the photo crediting Sharpe for teaching him football.
“Legendary. Learned from the best,” he wrote.
In 2017 during McCaffrey’s rookie year, he recalled how nice the Broncos teammates were to him.
“Those guys treated us, my brothers and me, so well,” McCaffrey said.
“I used to play Power Rangers with Shannon Sharpe. I had competitions with who could go in the ice tubs the longest with my brothers. I remember that stuff more than I do the actual games.”
Fans were blown away by the coincidental photo showing two NFL legends of different eras.
“No way this is true? Between this and playing in the mascot bowl when he took out the sharpie. Is CMC football royalty?” one comment said.
“Legends,” another fan said.
