Demo tape reissue shifted 2,911 copies in two days.
It has been revealed that the re-release of Metallica‘s 1982 demo “No Life ‘Till Leather” was the second biggest selling release of Record Store Day.
As Neilsen SoundScan (via Blabbermouth) reports, the cassette release of the legendary demo tape sold 2,911 copies in its first two days of release. This year’s biggest selling release was the vinyl issue of “Get Behind Me Satan” by the White Stripes.

Metallica have promised that the “No Life ‘Till Leather” Reissue will be the first in an extensive series of Metallica reissues that are due for release in the near future. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Lars Ulrich noted: “It’s time for us to put out some next-level reissues and do the song and dance of the catalog that everyone else has done.”
