Gordon Ramsay, 57, breaks his silence after becoming a father for the sixth time as he jokes he’ll be the ‘oldest dad’ at school drop-off
Gordon Ramsay has broken his silence after becoming a father for the sixth time earlier this month.
The celebrity chef, 57, welcomed son Jesse James into the world with wife Tana, 49, on his birthday, November 8.
Gordon told Entertainment Tonight of the new arrival: ‘Extraordinary. Really Extraordinary, just blessed.’
The TV star went on to joke about being the oldest parent at school when the time comes for Jesse to start classes, so he’s planning to go in disguise.
He added: ‘I’m also sure I’ll be the oldest dad at the drop-off at school, so I’ll keep my cap and glasses on.’

The couple are already parents to Megan, 25, twins Holly and Jack, 23, Tilly, 22, and Oscar, four.
Gordon made the surprise announcement earlier this month that Tana – who he married in 1996 – had given birth to their son.
In a post on 11 November, three days after he turned 57, the chef wrote on Instagram: ‘What an amazing birthday present please welcome Jesse James Ramsay, 7lbs 10oz whopper!! One more bundle of love to the Ramsay brigade!! 3 boys, 3 girls…. Done’
The Hell’s Kitchen star shared the news alongside a series of adorable images of the family in the hospital.
Gordon was soon inundated with congratulatory messages from fellow faces in the comments section of the post.
Wolverine star Hugh Jackman wrote: ‘Congrats mate!’ whilst Paris Fury – who is married to boxing champion Tyson Fury and has seven children with him – sent her best wishes.
She wrote: ‘Congratulations to you all. Was thinking it the other day it can’t be long. Best blessings xxxx’
The couple, who married in 1996, kept Tana’s latest pregnancy a secret.
Happy news: Gordon shared the announcement on Instagram earlier this month
In September, Gordon admitted he was under pressure from Tana to have a sixth child but said he was against the idea.
Speaking to Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett on the Dish podcast, Gordon confessed: ‘I’ve got a little secret… Tana wants another one.’
But he admitted that he was reluctant to have another baby, saying the family would need ‘two buses’ and that he would be older than the other parents at school.
He said: ‘It’s like going to school, going out for dinner in two buses. And secondly, I’m going to be the oldest f***er at school. ‘Who’s your grandad?’
‘And what about sports day? The egg and spoon race. What am I going to do? So, I’d love another one, but no.’
Tana previously admitted to wanting even more kids in 2021, telling Hello! magazine: ‘Do you know, the problem is that I so love babies but I think I’ll still be saying that when I’m in my 70s!’
However, she added: ‘I don’t think there’s ever a time when I’ll go, “Oh my god never, ever, ever again.”
‘But let’s just say I count my blessings and think I’m incredibly lucky. I’m just enjoying every single moment of this one.’
