GMA’s Michael Strahan cracks up after actor guest totally butchers pronunciation of his name on live TV
MICHAEL Strahan has been left in stitches as he couldn’t contain his laughter during a hilarious guest appearance.
Good Morning America on Friday saw Keegan-Michael Key, 2, perform an improvised skit live on air.

Michael, 2, was joined by the comedian as they spoke about the new movie Wonka, in which Key plays the corrupt Chief of Police.
Alongside Key, Timothée Chalamet, 27, plays the eponymous Willy Wonka.
In a clip from the show shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, GMA wrote: “How would Key & Peele’s iconic substitute teacher Mr. Garvey pronounce Timothée Chalamet‘s name? @KeeganMKey’s answer didn’t disappoint.”
Kicking off the discussion, daytime TV star Michael said: “It’s almost been – this blows my mind – it’s almost been a decade since your sketch comedy show Key & Peele.
“I mean, just brilliant, just brilliant. Howie Long and I always laugh at the football – when you pronounce the football players’ names. But Mr. Garvey, the substitute teacher, that is the one that always has the memes and everyone goes back to.”
He then asked: “How would you say – how would Mr. Garvey say – Timothée Chalamet’s name?”
Film star Key immediately got into character, deliberately butchering Timothée’s name as he joked: “Oh, you talking ’bout Tim-o-fee Shalamett? He’s one of my favorite new actors, I love that kid, that kid is good.”
While Michael was already in fits of laughter, he broke down when Key included his name in the skit, saying: “I’m gonna tell you something else, Mikhail Straharn. That kid is going places, he makes good movies, man. Tim-o-fee, I love Tim-o-fee Shalamett. My favorite actor.”
After he stopped laughing, Michael praised: “Well I tell you, if he’s in a movie with you, he’s in the right movie.”
Key, back as his normal personality, smiled happily and exclaimed: “Oh, that’s sweet!”
BACK WITH A BANG
Michael looked to be in very good spirits after his worrying extended absence from the show last month.
The star sparked concern after he was MIA for three weeks in November.
ABC said that the unscheduled time off was due to a personal matter, but the network did not provide additional details.
“Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters,” a spokesperson from the television network told The U.S. Sun.
“We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns.”
BOOKED AND BUSY
During Michael’s long time away, he did return to one of his other jobs sooner than to GMA.
The NFL legend has been busy during the past few months presenting Fox’s NFL Sunday.
In his analyst role, the New York Giants legend comments on games alongside fellow sports stars.
As if his GMA morning duties and Sunday role weren’t enough, Michael announced that he had a recurring Saturday presenting job, too, for Big Noon Kickoff.
Big Noon Kickoff is the pregame show for the Saturday football games.
Michael hosted Big Noon Kickoff during primetime for the whole football season, with the show only ending at the beginning of December.
Football aside, Michael also returned to game show $100,000 Pyramid after skipping out on filming during his private family matters.
