“They’re soaking up every moment they get with him.”
Bruce Willis’ family is reportedly unsure “how long he has left” as he battles frontotemporal dementia, which has no cure. It comes after a friend revealed earlier this year the 68-year-old star is “not totally verbal” and has lost his “joie de vivre”.
In the last few weeks, the Die Hard actor’s health has deteriorated significantly, and he is having “more bad days than good”.

“Bruce has good days and bad days, but in the last two months, there are many more bad days than good,” a source has told Us Weekly.
“This experience has brought the whole family even closer together. No one knows how much time Bruce has left, so they’re soaking up every moment they get with him.”
Bruce’s wife, Emma Hering Willis, and their two daughters, Mabel and Evelyn, are essentially living with the star’s ex-wife, Demi Moore, and their three daughters, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, as the modern family rallies around him.
“They’re all there all the time,” another source added. “Once Bruce was diagnosed, everyone came together to keep his memory of the family intact and to be there as a constant reminder [that they] love him. [Everything] revolves around him.”

“Bruce has around-the-clock care, but at least one family member is always with him.”
Emma shared a sweet throwback photo of the extended family on Thanksgiving last month, writing, “I’m grateful and thankful to know this kind of love.”
Understandably, it’s been a very tough time for the family, with Emma previously admitting that being a carer can take a toll and have her focusing on the “doom and gloom” of the situation, writing on social media earlier this year, “I know it looks like I’m out living my best life.
I have to make a conscious effort every single day…. I do that for myself, I do that for our two children, and Bruce, who would not want me to live any other way.”
“I don’t want it to be misconstrued that, like, I’m good — because I’m not. I’m not good, but I have to put my best foot forward for the sake of myself and my family,” she added.
“When we are not looking after ourselves, we cannot look after anyone that we love. So it’s really important and like I said, this is a conscious effort. It does not come to me easily, but I am just doing the best that I can always.”
She captioned the video, “When we are not looking after ourselves, we are no good to the people we love who we want to show up for and take care of.”

Rumer recently took to Instagram to share an old photo of herself as a baby with her dad, writing, “Really missing my papa today.”
During a recent appearance on Drew Barrymore’s talk show, Tallulah shared why the family have been so public about Bruce’s dementia.
“If we can take something that we’re struggling with as a family to help other people, to turn it around to make something beautiful about it, that’s really special for us,” she said.
Drew noted that she knew Bruce “a little”, recalling how he would always play his daughter’s old music when they were younger, with Tallulah saying that’s still a big part of how they spend time together now.
“He’s an incredible musician, a big music guy, and my sisters are both musicians too,” she said. “It’s still a huge part of how I spend time with him now, playing music, and there’s this energy of love. It’s really special.”
