7 Little Johnston fans slam Liz for her ‘dangerous’ decision with newborn daughter Leighton at Christmas light show

ELIZABETH “Liz” Johnston has been called out for making a dangerous decision with her newborn daughter while in the car.

The 21-year-old welcomed her first child – kicking off the 7 Little Johnston clan’s third generation – with Brice Bolden in November.

Just weeks after welcoming her newborn, the 7 Little Johnstons star has already received a bit of backlash for a recent parenting choice.

Liz, who has a rare form of dwarfism along with her TV-famous family, took to her Instagram Story recently with a family photo.

The snap showed them smiling in the car while at a Christmas lights show at Callaway Gardens in Georgia.

Liz was seen holding her baby up to her chest while sitting in the back seat.

Taking to Reddit, some called out the new mom for not having her newborn strapped into a car seat.

“No car seat?!” one person questioned, adding: “Did they take the baby out of the car seat just for a photo op? I hope there’s a car seat back there…”

A second replied: “Calloway gardens is a drive through light show. I’m sure they are driving through without the baby in the car seat.”

“I don’t care if they are “driving slow,” “off of the main road,” or “just taking her out for a feeding.” If you have a platform as big as they do, you DO NOT post a photo of newborn in a car not in a carseat. Period,” a third slammed.

A fourth agreed: “omg so dangerous.”

“I’m sure the baby is fine and they are going slow but why even bother and risk it? it’s not like she is a baby or toddler who can even see and enjoy the lights… she’s still a newborn…. so odd,” another wrote.

While a few criticized Liz for the parenting decision, others mentioned that the car may have been parked or moving slowly as they went through the drive-through lights show.

BABY REVEAL

Liz and Brice officially welcomed their baby girl last month.

“The wait is finally over! We’re excited to introduce our baby to the world,” the couple told People.

Their daughter, Leighton Drew Bolden, was born on Friday, November 3, weighing pounds 9 ounces.

The couple first shared their exciting baby news with the publication in September.

They shared a pregnancy announcement that showed them standing with their arms around each other in front of a sign with a sonogram picture that read, “Baby Coming Nov 2023.”

Leighton is the first of the family’s third generation.

Debuting in 201, the family’s TLC reality series follows the Johnston clan — mom Amber, dad Trent, and kids Jonah, Elizabeth, Anna, Alex, and Emma.

The family of seven is the largest family consisting of people who share the genetic disorder achondroplasia dwarfism, which affects the limbs, per ABC News.

They have been sharing details of their lives since the show aired and refer to themselves as “the real life seven dwarfs,” consisting of “a mix of biological and adopted children from various parts of the globe,” per the Mirror.

After Jonah and Elizabeth were born (both via C-section), the Johnstons chose to start adopting.
