Molly Smith has been left questioning her connections in the Love Island villa after it emerged she and ex Callum Jones raised each other’s pulses the most in the heartrate challenge.
Monday’s episode finished on an awkward note as the results also showed that Molly and her current partner Tom Clare had raised each other’s pulses the least in the group.
Tom had his heart raised by former flame Georgia Steel, while Callum manage to raise his partner Jess Gale‘s heart.
Reflecting on the shock results, Molly admitted she needed to talk things through with her ex and her current partner.
In scenes that will air on Tuesday’s episode, Molly told Sophie Piper: ‘I think there are reasons as to why it was Cal and I, and it was Tom and Georgia S… maybe he’s not shutting it down like he needs to be? I do think I’m gonna speak to him…’

Monday’s episode finished on an awkward note as the results also showed that Molly and her current partner Tom Clare had raised each other’s pulses the least in the group.
Later in bed, Molly confronted Tom about the results, which prompted him to insist: ‘It’s just me and you.’
With an unconvinced Molly laughing in response, Tom questioned: ‘What? Babe if you can’t trust me, we’ve got no chance.’
The entire villa will no doubt have been reeling after taking part in the show’s sexiest, and at times, most awkward challenge.
The heart rate game sees the Islanders dress up and perform a series of sexy dances to the group of the opposite sex who gather around the fire pit.
After the boys and girls stripped down to risqué outfits for the steamy challenge, the results revealed Callum and Molly, who split just last year, might still have a spark for one another.
Coming out triumphs in the challenge, Sophie Piper and Joshua Ritchie were the only couple to collectively raise each other’s hearts the most.
Minutes after Georgia Harrison revealed the results tension quickly rose between Molly, Callum and Tom, leaving the group too stunned for words.
Hopeful fans rooting for Callum and Molly to get back together flooded X, formerly known as Twitter, praying it will be the start of the duo reconciling their relationship.
Before the challenge aired, viewers even went to the extreme of begging producers to ‘rig’ the challenge so that the former couple will have their hearts raised by each other.

Love Island first look: The Heart Rate Challenge is back!
Callum and Molly are civil and friendly around the villa despite an awkward start in South Africa – where they both walked in as bombshells.
The duo were coupled up together for over a week and tried to rekindle a spark, but they decided to go separate ways again.
The former couple met when Molly was a Casa Amor bombshell on the 2020 season and they went on to have a three-year relationship, even moving in together in Manchester.
Callum was revealed to be the first bombshell of the series shaking things up in the villa directly after host Maya Jama coupled-up the main line-up of former show legends during the opening episode.
In an unexpected twist, Molly walked in directly after him as a second bombshell, leaving Callum completely stunned.
