Last week during the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Baltimore Ravens, wide receiver Kadarius Toney had a slip-up against his own team when he denied he was injured for this game. Having played only 13 games this season and not a single playoff game is getting to him and he aired his fristrations through his social media. Before the game, the Chiefs staff decided to place Toney in the inury report with hip/personal designation as the reason. However, Toney flat out sai the team was lying about his status and he was fit to play. In fact, Toney seemed extremely rattled by the Chiefs decision to place him on the list.

During an IG livestream, Toney denied that was true and positioned himself completely against this decision. He also didnt’ mince his words when he spoke about the situation with his followers. Before the AFC championship game, it was reported that Toney’s girlfriend gave birth to their daughter. Many expected him to not be part of the Super Bowl team due to his behavior but Toney has been training alongside his teammates. Currently, all signs point at Toney possibly getting a chance to redeem himself and play the biggest game of the season. But Travis Kelce also wanted to send Toney a message that surely all his other teammates shared with him.

Travis Kelce’s message to Toney

As a response, Travis Kelce did what any great leader would do in this situation. He knows Kadarius Toney is extremely talented and he wants to get the best out of him during the Super Bowl. Here’s what Kelce said about Toney according to beat reporter Jordan Foote: “What’s real is what happens in this building and how we can channel that. I just wanted him to make sure he knew we’re all still behind him and ready to go get this Super Bowl.”
