Erin Andrews has claimed that wags across the NFL are pleased that Taylor Swift has joined their ranks through dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

Swift and Kelce went public in late September when she arrived at Arrowhead Stadium to watch him play against the Chicago Bears and their relationship appears to have gone from strength to strength ever since.

The singer also appears to have quickly struck up a close friendship with Brittany Mahomes – the wife of the Chiefs quarterback Patrick, one of Kelce’s teammates – but according to Erin Andrews, all the wags are cheering on Travis and Taylor.

The sportscaster made the revelation on her Calm Down podcast, days after covering the Eagles-49ers game on Sunday.

‘I got a little bit of intel this weekend from some Wags out in Philly – not Eagles Wags and I’m not saying they are 49ers Wags,’ Andrews said. ‘I’m not going to tell you who they are.

Some NFL Wags – somebody asked in front of me what the gals on their team thought and they were like ‘love it, adorable’ and you know why? Because that’s a man.

‘An NFL wag said that for the first time publicly she’s not with someone who is like ‘Oh yeah I’m with Taylor don’t take my picture’.

Kelce has spoken openly about having to adjust to the attention that comes with dating Swift but has never discussed it too negatively.

In a recent extensive interview with the Wall Street Journal, where he opened up on dating Swift, Kelce said: ‘Obviously I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them…. I’ve never dealt with it.

‘But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it…. The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she’s just living, enjoying life.
