Fans of Taylor Swift waited in the rain in Sydney, Australia, to greet the megastar as she arrived ahead of four scheduled stadium shows[VIDEO]

Taylor Swift has touched down in Sydney.

Following a whirlwind trip to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl on February 11, the pop megastar’s first stop in Australia was when she arrived in Melbourne in the very early hours of February 15. Despite Swift landing just before 1am, Melbourne’s Private Jet Base was surrounded by fans hoping to welcome her to the city.

While the star kept a relatively low profile in Melbourne, she’s been spotted on two occasions in Sydney — once while out for dinner with support act Sabrina Carpenter, and upon arrival; sporting boyfriend Travis Kelce’s merch.

Where has Taylor Swift been in Australia?
To wrap up her first full day in the Harbour City, Swift headed out for dinner at a popular inner-city restaurant. The star was joined by Carpenter for a meal at Italian favourite Pellegrino 2000 in Surry Hills, for which she wore a black corset top and pleated khaki skirt. Carpenter opted for a stylish red minidress by Bella Venice. In videos taken by fans, a crowd can be seen gathering by the exit as the duo makes their way from the eatery to a waiting car.

The girl’s night dinner was the first time Swift was spotted in the New South Wales capital since she touched down on February 19 in the midst of a huge thunderstorm. In videos and photos posted to X (formerly Twitter), Swift’s private jet can be seen landing at Sydney Airport around 1:30pm on Monday, ahead of her four-show run at Accor Stadium from February 23 to 26. Swift herself was spotted getting off the plane wearing a red T-shirt and a Kansas City Chiefs “champions” cap, further bolstering rumours that her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce, will be joining her in Australia.

In an emotional Instagram post following her three-night run at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Taylor Swift has thanked fans for the “unforgettable” experience.

“Melbourne, what do I even say to you after over 288,000 of you came and danced with us in the last 3 nights ??! That was unforgettable,” Swift wrote in a caption accompanying a series of photos from the run of gigs.

“You were on another LEVEL. Thank you for the memories. I’ll revisit the ones from this weekend often 🥲🫶”

On the night 3 show in Melbourne, Swift also acknowledged the record-breaking number of fans who had bought tickets to watch her — calling the Victorian city the “love of [her] life”.

“Some stadium girl math for you,” she began. “96,000 people the first night, 96,000 people the second night. 96,000 people tonight. Those are all the biggest shows I’ve ever played on a tour and you did it three times,” she continued.

“The math is that it’s 288,000 people in three nights. Melbourne. You are the love of my life.”

Swift now has a four day break before she takes to Sydney’s Accor Stadium for a four-night run from Friday, February 23 to Monday, February 26 — which will also break records as the most number of nights any musician has performed in the arena.
