Taylor Swift plans to be in Las Vegas if the Chiefs qualify for the Super Bowl despite having a concert all the way in Tokyo the evening before.
On Sunday, ESPN’s Ian Rapoport reported that Swift is willing to fulfill both singer and cheerleader duties by flying all the way from Asia if the situation calls for it. He also explained how time zones can allow this hail marry of a trip to be successful.
‘No doubt, the biggest question heading into this game: if the Chiefs win, will Taylor Swift be at the Super Bowl?’ Rapoport said on NFL Game Day. ‘Sources say yes.’
‘Now she does have a concert on Saturday, February 10th at 6pm in Tokyo, how in the world could she get to the game? Let me introduce you to something called the international date line.’
‘Tokyo is 17 hours ahead,’ Rapoport continued. ‘That means this concert starts at 1am Vegas time [on] the same day. Let’s say it’s a five-hour concert, about 11pm local, which is 6am, still Saturday, in Las Vegas. Figure a 12-hour flight, maybe she leaves about an hour later.’

Travis Kelce and the Chiefs have to get past the Baltimore Ravens to qualify for the Super Bowl
‘Taylor Swift could still get to the Super Bowl [at] about 7 or 8pm Saturday night, just in time to party,’ Rapoport said.
Whether or not Swift has to rush from the eastern hemisphere to the west coast all depends on Sunday’s outcome as the Chiefs take on a tough task in the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens secured the top-seed in the AFC with a 13-4 record this season before defeating the Houston Texans in the divisional playoffs.
Baltimore has been spearheaded by quarterback Lamar Jackson’s MVP-caliber season as he leads the team in rushing and passing yards. The Ravens also got a boost for the conference championship with tight end Mark Andrews set to return from an ankle injury.
On the other hand, the Chiefs finished with an 11-6 record before defeating the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills in the postseason to qualify for Sunday’s game.
Swift has now been 12 games, including the championship game in Baltimore.
