Two of the men involved in the mass brawl with Cam Newton which has gone viral on social media have broken their silence on the fight – claiming the former NFL quarterback triggered it by trash talking them.

Newton, who last played for the Carolina Panthers back in 2021, was involved in a brawl at a 7-on-7 football event in Atlanta on Sunday, when cameras captured him scrapping with several men after appearing to be ambushed by a large group.

On Monday, a video emerged of a man wearing a TopShelf Performance hoodie – who was seemingly involved in the fight – appearing to hit out at Newton before the brawl broke out.

‘I’m going to say it – they can’t hide the film now… your non-throwing a** Atlanta hero quarterback cannot beat me,’ he said.

And after footage of the fracas went viral over the weekend, the man heard aiming a dig at Newton and then scrapping with the ex-NFL MVP – TopShelf Performance coach TJ Brown – has revealed the story behind it.

Brown discussed the fallout with Newton which centered around him and little brother Steph – also a football coach for TopShelf Performance.

The Brown brothers have pitted their youth team against Newton’s in the past and gotten the better of him on three occasions, meaning there was no love lost by the time they met for a fourth time on Sunday.
