The debate between Michael Jordan and LeBron James over the tantalizing NBA GOAT status has been as constant as an epic soap series. While Jordan is, and continues to be the majority’s choice when it comes to the best of all time-status, there is little doubt that LeBron has made up some big ground in recent years.
The Chicago Bulls legend, on one hand, had 6 NBA titles, and a plethora of offensive accolades that he collected over his career. LeBron James, a ‘playmaker-first,’ is arguably the most complete offensive player ever seen in the NBA, and is also the leading scorer in the history of the league.
While there are bound to be differences in opinion, it is Chris Brown, who recently gave his take on the debate. Asked about the two players during a live stream alongside Twitch streamer Adin Ross, Ross had a simple answer:
I'm going to go Jordan and then LeBron. Both of them are unstoppable forces. LeBron's been doing it a minute and he's been doing it at the highest level but I feel like he needs something to, see, to have a spark to make him be good.
Hence, while for Rock, MJ is the obvious GOAT, he appreciates both the players. He believes that while Jordan’s determination to win sets him apart, LeBron needs that spark to get going, especially when it matters the most.

LeBron may still only have won 4 championships, but that is also down to the sheer extent of the increase in quality the league has seen in recent years.
Today, a number of NBA teams are more than capable of competing for the championship, which makes the league as exciting as it has become challenging. While not many may be quick to give James the respect he clearly deserves, things should change when he finally hangs up his boots. That of course, might only be after he becomes the first NBA player to play alongside his own son, and potentially, sons.
