Jimmy Garoppolo is not having the best year.
Garoppolo inked a contract in Vegas last offseason to reunite him with Josh McDaniels. The head coach was fired and now Jimmy G has gotten some bad news.
On Friday, it was announced that Jimmy Garoppolo would be suspended for two games for violating the NFL’s Performance Enhancing Substances Policy.
He plans on appealing that suspension.
On top of that news is the expectation that the team will release him before the fifth day of the new league year in mid-March.
The Raiders benched Garoppolo because he simply wasn’t performing well in his first season with the team.
In six starts, Garoppolo posted a 3-3 record while completing 65.5 percent of his passes for 1,205 yards, seven touchdowns, and nine interceptions. He led the league in interceptions at the time, despite missing two games.
