Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors star, shared his perspective after receiving criticism from two of the greatest names in NBA basketball history.

Two months ago, the greatest 3-point shooter in NBA history, Stephen Curry, appeared on former star Gilbert Arenas’ podcast, declaring himself the best point guard of all time.

This comment by the Golden State Warriors superstar received many mixed opinions, including criticism from basketball legend Michael Jordan and one of the best PGs in the history of the tournament, Magic Johnson.

Recently, Stephen Curry responded to the comments of legends like Jordan or Magic Johnson.

“Chef” showed respect for his two seniors, and also shared his own perspective on the debate. He said that the generational difference makes comparison more difficult, but it is also What makes basketball interesting over a long period of development.

“I think this will be a never-ending debate, which is why people always ask questions about who is the best and greatest athlete of all time…”, Stephen Curry said.

Stephen Curry thinks this will be a never-ending debate

“I can say I am the best. Magic can argue and defend his position. Or any other defender can share their perspective.

That’s the beauty of basketball, the change through each period and creating many different eras of basketball. I affirm that I extremely respect and admire what Magic Johnson has done. His career CV is unique.

Fans and experts always like to compare different basketball eras and stars from different eras. It creates excitement and helps make debates more interesting,” the Golden State Warriors defender added.

Legends Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan won NBA championships 5 and 6 times, respectively
After Stephen Curry’s initial sharing about him being the greatest PG in history, the legendary Magic Johnson went on CBS to argue that he is the best defender.

“If he (Curry – PV) has more than 5 championship rings, more than 3 Finals MVP titles and 3 MVP titles, Curry will be the greatest PG,” Magic Johnson shared.

“If he becomes the player with the most assists in NBA Finals history, second in double-doubles, first in triple-doubles and fourth all-time in steals in the Playoffs, then he will be the the best”.

Also supporting the above opinion is the legendary Michael Jordan, who played at the same time as Magic. “Mr. Air” shared through ESPN host Stephen A.Smith that:

“Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter in basketball history, but he will not be the best defender.”

Although he does not want to argue with the two legends and show respect for them, Stephen Curry can do something else: write new pages for his own career.
