Janet Jackson ‘felt like a prisoner’ living with billionaire husband

Even though she was a billionaire’s wife and lived in luxury, Janet Jackson still ‘felt like a prisoner’ and her suffering permeated her music while living with business tycoon Wissam Al Mana.

In May this year, it was reported that Janet Jackson had divorced Saudi billionaire Wissam Al Mana, just three months after giving birth to her first daughter.

US Weekly ‘s source recently revealed that during their 5-year marriage, Janet Jackson Jackson “felt hidden from family and friends. Her life was an escape.” People who love the singer revealed: “Janet felt like a prisoner.” According to her brother, Randy, the 42-year-old billionaire also verbally abused his wife.

US Magazine analyzed the beginning of the relationship between Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana as a necessary escape for the 51-year-old singer. In 2009, Janet faced money problems, suffered the pain of losing a loved one after Michael Jackson’s death and broke up with her seven-year love, Jermaine Dupri. Janet Jackson then wanted to find stability and fate led her to meet Al Mana at the opening ceremony of a hotel in Dubai in April 2010.

Janet’s friend shared: “He (Al Mana) appeared at the right time. He saved her from those problems and took her to the Middle East. It was there that Janet found comfort. . Janet lived with him. His money could give them a lot of privacy, which is what she craved.”

As for Wissam Al Mana, he hopes to create a family of his own with Janet. The source said: “Janet never really wanted to be a mother before, but that changed when she was with Wissam. He really wants to have children. She is ready and realized she found the right person.”

But Janet Jackson’s instincts were wrong. Al Mana wanted “a traditional wife, attached to Islam”. This began to affect the way he treated his wife. Janet also accepted, she converted to Islam to accommodate her husband’s beliefs and religion, often appeared in traditional Muslim clothes and stayed away from her former close friends.

“Janet feels like she’s not herself anymore,” the source said. The negativity affected her career: “Janet felt like her music was suffering and she didn’t like Wissam. She couldn’t settle down and be what he wanted her to be.”

Janet Jackson decided to end the relationship because “Janet wanted her life back”.
