Janet Jackson is finally speaking out about her pending divorce from husband Wissam Al Mana, which was reported just three months after the birth of their son Eissa.
‘I just want to keep it real with you guys for a second,’ the 50-year-old Control singer tells fans in a new video posted to her official website and social media accounts.
‘Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court and the rest is in God’s hands.’
‘It’s me, Jan’: Janet Jackson addressed fans in a video posted to her social media accounts Monday and announced plans for a tour
The beginning of the video features Jackson addressing her weight and reassuring fans it is her, telling them, ‘I have put on quite a few since I had the baby.’
‘Can you please be quiet, Randy?’ Janet snaps back, presumably to her brother Randy who has been spotted with her in London after the birth of her son in January.
Split: In the video, Jackson confirms the reports that she and billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana (here in 2013) have separated, saying, ‘We are in court and the rest is in God’s hands.’
Of her baby, Janet gushes, ‘I thank God for him you guys, he is so healthy. So beautiful, so sweet, so loving such a happy baby.’
She then speaks in baby talk to camera in the self-shot video, saying her son’s name.
The All For You singer then reveals the reason for her message, which was teased with a mysterious two-day countdown on the front page of Janet’s official website.
