MLB jumps on Taylor Swift hype train in hilarious fashion after Dodgers star Freddie Freeman ‘photobombs’ pop sensation at the Golden Globes
Major League Baseball leaned into the Taylor Swift circus on Monday after Dodgers star Freddie Freeman was spotted in the background of a picture of the pop sensation.
‘Freddie Freeman stuns in new photo,’ the league’s official X account wrote alongside the picture of Freeman and Swift at the Golden Globes on Sunday.
Freeman wasn’t posing alongside Swift, who is dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. Instead it is a cropped photo of Swift and ‘Barry’ star Bill Hader, which shows Freeman looking on over Swift’s left shoulder.
Swift was at the Golden Globes as a nominee in the new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category for her concert film, ‘The Eras Tour.’ She lost out to ‘Barbie.’
Kelce wasn’t at the ceremony alongside his girlfriend, although both were in the Los Angeles area on Sunday.

The Chiefs played on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers, with Kelce at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood – about 13 miles from The Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills.
Golden Globes host and stand-up comedian Jo Koy did make a joke at the couple’s expense.
‘Welcome back. As you know, we came on after a football doubleheader,’ Koy said. ‘The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? On the Golden Globes, fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift.’
The camera immediately cut to Swift, who looked less than thrilled. The joke was also panned online.

One person not seen in any photos with Swift, or her friend Selena Gomez, was Freeman’s wife Chelsea.
‘You guys… this is the back of my head,’ Chelsea wrote on social media, alongside a photo of Swift and Gomez, with an arrow pointing to her hair.
‘We were sitting 6ft from Taylor & Selena and I was too shy to ask for a pic. They were gorgeous in person.’
Chelsea added: ‘Of course Freddie makes the Taylor pic and I’m blocked,’ .
Freddie Freeman has been a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers since 2022 and is a native Californian.
