Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship hits setback as ‘awkward’ situation emerges

Taylor Swift has an awkward relationship with Travis Kelce’s brother, Jason, and his wife Kylie, with the singer not being given a good reception.

According to Life and Style magazine, Swift’s introduction to Kelce’s family has been far from smooth. Before Jason Kelce’s Philadelphia Eagles team played brother Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs last November, Kylie gave an interview that reportedly rubbed superstar singer Swift the wrong way.

Kylie stated the spotlight “is not particularly my cup of tea” and that she prefers to watch games from the stands rather than the luxury suits – which is the opposite of Swift, who has been seen in plush NFL boxes across the country while watching her man. A source told Life and Style: “Taylor hasn’t had the best reception from Jason and his wife.”

“Taylor took that personally and since then it’s been very awkward,” the source added. “Taylor understands that it can be exhausting, but she can’t help that everything she does becomes front-page news.”

Swift and Travis reportedly had their first argument over the festive period, with the football star left in a sour mood over Kansas City’s defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day. Travis reportedly snapped at Swift but later apologized.

The Kelce brothers don’t appear to be too bothered by the “awkward” relationship, with the fun-loving duo continuing their podcast, New Heights. Both are gearing up for postseason runs with their respective teams. Tight end Travis and Kansas City will take on the Miami Dolphins on Saturday Night Football.

Jason and the Eagles, meanwhile, travel to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. The Chiefs will have to brave the cold while Philadelphia enjoys warmer weather in the Sunshine State. The temperature is set to plunge to around 0 with a brutal wind-chill factor of -30 in Kansas City.

“I don’t think anybody is really weighing in on weather, at least I’m not. I don’t give a rats a**,” Kelce said. “I try not to even think about, that way I don’t make an excuse. I know in cold weather games, the hand gets a little stiff and the body can get a little stiff.

“You just gotta stay warm on the sidelines, get a few claps in, get the hand stinging, get the blood-flow going in the hands and then just go out there and headbutt somebody man, cos that gets the blood-flow going a little bit more than usual.

“It’ll be a cold one and you know what, hopefully that slows down the speed on the Miami offense. That’s world class speed right there.”
