Appearing in GQ’s Actually Me series, Jennifer Lawrence revealed several facts about her life as enquired by fans. Among them, she revealed a lot of details about her drunken state. “I’m not ever drunk when I’m working on the weekends maybe I think that’s probably just be reacting to nervousness,” the actor replied to a fan’s comment on one of her YouTube videos. In the show, the actor also created a Wikipedia account and read about her on the platform where she found out that “Lawrence said that she knew from an early age that she would be famous” A reckless comment on her part?
“Just delete that. I’m never drinking in an interview ever again. I don’t know why I said that and that quote has been haunting me for my whole life. So, just delete.”
Sure, Lawrence said she’d be careful, restraining herself from drinking before or during interviews but considering her persona it’s very unlikely. The actor has had two shots of rum while talking about her spy thriller Red Sparrow in Stephen Colbert’s show. And she could not resist drinking rum when Ellen offered in the The Ellen Show.
Jennifer Lawrence Has a Drunken Alter-Ego

Lawrence has an alter ego when she’s on vacation, especially, when she’s drunk. Her name is Gail. “She almost named herself. I think my girlfriends probably named her Gail just by the way I look. And it’s a very specific drunk too,” Lawrence told Ellen on The Ellen Show about her alter-ego.
“It’s not just like every time I’m drunk, I turn into this– I think she’s some sort of tortoise gambler or something. I don’t always turn into this masculine alter ego that jumps into shark-ridden waters just to make my friends laugh. My friends were like, that’s too far, Jen– no not funny. It’s not every time. I think it might be rum, which is what I brought up to Colbert. Because the only time I drink rum is on vacation.”
Further, the No Hard Feelings actor said that Gail is a lovely avatar, “she’s got a heart of gold.” Gail has different traits than her real self. “It was just one masculine– what are those people called, adrenaline junkie?” Lawrence explained. Normally she is “pretty cautious” but when there’s rum, “then I get rum in me, and I’m just like, ‘let’s arm wrestle!” she revealed. However, Gail is very specific, she would appear only after drinking rum, vodka or other drinks doesn’t work.
