Filipino drag artist Mac Coronel aka Taylor Sheesh was featured in the Australia program The Today Show following her successful The Errors Tour concert at the Federation Square in Melbourne on February 16.
In her interview for the show, Sheesh relayed that she has been a Swiftie since 2009 and that she is thankful for the support from her fellow fans.
“Actually we didn’t expect that we would go viral after [we recreated] ‘The Eras Tour’ so right now we are forever grateful for what’s going on. [Thank you] to the fans and to my fellow Swifties,” she said.
When asked how it felt like performing in front of many Swifties in Australia for the “Errors Tour,” Sheesh remarked: “We didn’t expect that we will have a massive crowd.”
The drag queen added: “They give 100,000 energy from start to finish of our show.”
Sheesh hopes that Taylor likes what they are doing on The Errors Tour. She stated: “I haven’t received any [message] from her team yet but we are hoping she likes what we are doing.”
When asked what’s next for her once The Eras Tour ends, Sheesh said: “We will still continue to celebrate Taylor’s music and support her. Just like what she’s doing right now, she’s releasing a brand new album. We will still make mall tour events for free for my fellow Swifties.”
Sheesh watched Taylor live for the first time when the global pop star staged The Eras Tour in Tokyo, Japan early in February.
After the concert, she wrote on her X page: “My Swiftie heart is so so so happy! 🥹 This is my first time to [see] Taylor Swift and watched her concert live.”
The drag artist added: “Thank you to my fellow Swifties and to my besties Yzelle and Ced 😍 Thank you so much Japan!”
Sheesh also watched the concert again in Melbourne on the third day of the show in the city.
