Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater’s relationship has been marred with controversy since whispers of their romance began – and the singer’s fans are now well and truly rinsing her new beau over his recent snap.

In it, the 31-year-old actor is seen dressed as a, erm, baby, as he posted a carousel of pictures to promote his new Broadway show, Spamalot.

In the last picture, he can be seen looking up at the camera in a huge baby bonnet, bib, clutching a huge milk bottle, as he sat in an adult-sized pram, with a blanket covering his legs.

It’s fair to say fans were a little creeped out by the picture, which we really hope (and suspect) has something to do with the play…

Referring to the snap in question, one fan simply commented: ‘Not that last pic.’

While Ethan appears to have limited comments on Instagram, fans were left cringing as the pram image did the rounds on X, formerly Twitter, with one simply branding it ‘so weird’.

‘This is who Ariana was willing to risk it all for?’ asked one fan, somewhat brutally, while another wrote: ‘Ariana… sweetie.’

Another said: ‘I wish i never laid my eyes on this.’

Someone else chimed in: ‘I wish I could go back 10 seconds ago when I didn’t know this photo existed.’ Ouch.

While some came to Ethan’s defense and pointed out, ‘He’s in character for a role in a play…’ this didn’t stop people being weirded out by the image.

‘I know it’s for a role but this is too much I am sorry but he is a grown man?’ said another.

Spamalot – an adaptation of the 1975 Monty Python musical – premiered yesterday, and saw the Side To Side hitmaker, 30, supporting her boyfriend, as she was mobbed by fans on entering St. James Theatre.

The American singer recently finalised her divorce from husband Dalton Gomez, 28, two years after the former couple tied the knot.

After meeting on the set of her upcoming film Wicked, Ethan and Ariana sparked a romance, which still appears to be going strong.

Shortly after meeting Ariana during filming, Ethan filed for divorce from his wife Lilly Jay, who he shares a one-year-old son with.

Earlier this year, Lilly Jay criticised Ariana in an explosive interview with Page Six, describing her as ‘not a girl’s girl’, adding that her family is just ‘collateral damage’.

Last month, details of Ariana’s divorce from Dalton revealed that they separated in February 2023.

Both parties have also agreed with each other to not write any tell-all or confessional books about their marriage.

Ariana and Ethan are now rumoured to be living together in NYC, with a source telling Us Weekly: ‘Ethan informed his friends and soon-to-be ex-wife that he’s living with Ariana full-time in New York.

‘They’re really happy and really good for each other. All of her friends love him.’
