Her boyfriend was due for an operation.
Angel Reese sent an emotional message to her boyfriend Cam’Ron Fletcher after he underwent surgery on Tuesday.
The college basketball star, 22, has been busy impressing for the Louisiana State University Tigers after returning to action in December.
Likewise, her boyfriend Fletcher is also playing basketball for the Florida State Seminoles and the pair have become one of the most-followed couples in the NCAA.
But Fletcher’s promising career has been put on hold after he was ruled out until the end of the season with a knee injury, which he picked up in December playing against North Carolina.
And after deciding to go under the knife to fix the damage, the self-proclaimed ‘Bayou Barbie’ wrote a positive motivational message to her partner praying for a quick recovery.
“God, please protect Cam’Ron as he has surgery today! I love you bookies!” she wrote on her Instagram story.
“God gives his toughest battles to his toughest soldiers! You’ve been through so much and this is so small to a giant. Road back to recovery. I’ve got your back. LET’S DO THIS!! @camron”
The pair met in 2017 and have been inseparable ever since. And it seems that Reese’s love still burns strong despite being hundreds of miles away from her man after her heartfelt message.
Angel Reese stays focused on the court
LSU’s women’s basketball team is celebrating the outstanding performances of two of its players in the latest SEC matchups.
Reese has been honored with the title of SEC Player of the Week following the team’s impressive 2-0 record, securing victories against Alabama and Arkansas.
In both games, Reese showcased her skills by achieving double-doubles, scoring 20 points and grabbing 16 rebounds against Alabama, and contributing 16 points with an impressive 17 rebounds against Arkansas.
