The Weeknd paid $70 million for his Bel Air mansion in 2021 and it was featured in his new HBO series – “The Idol”.
The house has 33,000 square feet of living space and lots of other incredible features, including a home theater, recording studio, indoor pool, gym, sauna… Outside The residence has an infinity pool with a waterfall that overlooks another level of the property. In addition, the house also has a sports field.
In The Idol, the house was chosen as a filming location after The Weeknd and Sam Levinson decided to reshoot the pilot episode. “If we were going back to the beginning, I know it would have to be less budgeted,” Sam told W Magazine.
And so, with the above statement, it can be understood that Abel’s (The Weeknd) house is used as a cost-cutting measure.
