With a successful opening leg in North America bringing in $148 million in revenue, the tour continued to Europe. Europe and soon after helped set a record revenue of 350 million USD and many other memorable milestones.

On August 18, the Canadian singer-songwriter held a concert at Wembley Stadium, London. The show, supported by Kaytranada and Mike Dean, was the final European date of his ongoing After Hours Til Dawn tour.

According to many information sites, fans filled more than 87 thousand seats and once again made The Weeknd’s concert extend its revenue record. At the same time, it also marked the second consecutive time The Weeknd broke a record in the British capital. Just last month, he broke the record for highest attendance in two shows at the London Stadium, which attracted a total of 160,000 fans.

Also on the night of the show in the British capital, The Weeknd suddenly changed the show’s ending words as he was slowly going down stage. If since the start of the After Hours Til Dawn tour as well as throughout his previous career, the male singer has always introduced himself with the stage name The Weeknd, then the statement has changed to “I work under the name “The Weeknd”. Abel Tesfaye”.

Previously, in many announcements on his personal page and especially an interview in May, he hinted that he was ready to end his journey of more than half a decade with the name The Weeknd. From now on, he will use his real name Abel Tesfaye to continue working. This is also the reason he participated in filming The Idol with his real name. Thus, the concert night on August 18 is considered an official announcement about the male artist changing his stage name.

However, fans still expressed their support for the male artist. Photo: Twitter

In addition to his stage name, on August 11,  The Weeknd also announced that he would not participate in any more features. The last feature in the male singer’s career was the song Another One of Me  , which he partially performed during his tour in Warsaw. However, there is currently no information about other artists who will contribute to the song or its release date.
