PATRICK Mahomes announced a career venture that could get him banned from the NFL but fans are begging for his services.

After investing in the Alpine F1 team, the superstar quarterback made it known that he would like to own an NFL team in the future.

The 28-year-old who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs can’t become an owner while he plays football though.

Pat McAfee explained the rule on his ESPN show recently with rumors of Tom Brady coming out of retirement.

Brady is becoming a part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and would have needed a unanimous vote from team owners to allow him to play again.

However, the NFL recently closed this loophole to prevent team owners from participating in NFL games.

McAfee said this was an attempt from the league to try and prevent future salary cap “tomfoolery.”

The new rules would disallow the likes of Brady and Mahomes from not only playing for the teams they own but any team in the NFL.

Despite the playing ban, NFL fans took to Twitter to beg Mahomes to take control of their favorite team.

“Please buy the Cowboys,” one user wrote.

“Buy the Chargers please,” another user wrote.

Other fans were making jokes about the two-time Super Bowl champ already owning multiple franchises because of how well he plays against them.

“He literally already owns the Broncos,” a comment said.

“He already owns 75% of the league,” another comment read.

Some fans compared Mahomes’ situation to USC quarterback Caleb Williams’ demands.

Williams hasn’t even entered the NFL draft yet but has demanded he should get partial ownership of whoever drafts him.

His outlandish request has been mocked on Twitter, and some used Mahomes as an example of someone who does deserve ownership.

“Now THIS is someone who can negotiate for ownership. Not some unproven college prospect,” a comment said.

While Mahomes likely won’t end his hall-of-fame trajectory career for an ownership stint, fans can start dreaming of who he might take over in the future.
