Kareena Kapoor opened up about her fees in Bollywood. Bebo is among the few actresses who charge a double-digit fee.
Kareena Kapoor seemingly confirmed that she is getting paid between Rs 10 crore and Rs 15 crore. The actress, who has been in the industry for over two decades, was informed in a recent interview that she is among the few actresses in the industry who charge a double digit number. Kareena blushed after learning her standing in Bollywood and admitted that she doesn’t do all films just for money.
She added she reduces her pay for films and filmmakers she believes in. “I hope so, I hope whatever you say is right,” she told The Week, addressing the fee. “It’s not about my acting… The films I choose is not about money, that I am very clear about. It has never been about the money. If I like a role, I might do a film for less, it depends on my mood, it depends on what the film is, what the role is offering, I am at that stage where I think I can do whatever. If it is a big commercial film, then your figures are less (laughs),” she added.
In the same interaction, Kareena opened up about juggling work with a fellow working parent, Saif Ali Khan. “It’s very tough (being married to an actor). Sometimes, he’s sleeping when I’ve left for work. I won’t see him living in the same house; we’re trying to take time out for the kids. Two actors in the same house,” she said.
However, she feels that marriage has ‘changed her for the better’. “I always ask him for advice, and he does (ask me, too). I don’t know if he takes my advice. I am critical of his films. He hasn’t seen Crew, can you believe it? He’s been shooting, so see. But I have to see all his films…so in that sense, yeah, he’s taken me for granted this time,” she added.
