Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has emerged as the highest-paid Bollywood actress. The Pathaan actress, who has been a part of three blockbuster films since 2023, has surpassed fellow Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, and Kiara Advani to top the list. While Deepika stands atop, Alia comes close to the second spot. Kareena closes the third spot.
Sources in the film industry informed Bollywood Hungama that Deepika Padukone charges a whopping Rs. 15 to 20 crores. Given her successful run at the box office with Pathaan, Jawan, Fighter, and Kalki 2898, insiders believe that her fee will not drop anytime soon.
Alia has also had a successful run at the box office in the last few years as well, resulting in the actress’s fee of Rs 15 crores. With Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR, Darlings, Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani doing good numbers — viewership and box office wise, and her successful Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone, Alia has shown a solid hold at the box office. She also has Jigra and Alpha in the pipeline.
Meanwhile, Kareena is said to charge between Rs 8 and 11 crores. She was recently informed about being one of the highest-paid actresses. Speaking with The Week, she said, “The films I choose are not about money, that I am very clear about. It has never been about the money. If I like a role, I might do a film for less, it depends on my mood, it depends on what the film is, and what the role is offering, I am at that stage where I think I can do whatever. If it is a big commercial film, then your figures are less (laughs).”
On the fourth spot is Katrina Kaif, who charges Rs 8 to 10 crore per film, and on the fifth is Shraddha Kapoor, who also charges Rs 8 to 10 crore. Kriti Sanon reportedly charges Rs 5 to 8 crore, Kiara Advani takes home Rs 5 to 8 crore. Kangana Ranaut and Taapsee Pannu also charge the same sum.

A producer told the publication that while these rates are for films that they do with A-list actors, the actresses would charge more for solo female films. “If the cost of production in a female solo project is just Rs. 20-25 crores, he won’t mind paying the actress Rs. 5 or even 7 crores. She might be charging less for a usual mainstream film with a male lead actor. But since the budget is low in her female-centric film and she’s shouldering the project, she can be paid more,” the producer said.
