Paris Hilton is taking a minute to thank a fan for sharing a “kind and thoughtful” video about her baby boy.
On Wednesday, the heiress and DJ, 42, shared a video to her Instagram Story of herself reacting to a fan’s TikTok that compiled clips of Hilton and her 8-month-old son Phoenix.
The edit included photos of the proud mom and her son throughout the past few months, with the title “Paris Hilton opens up about why she kept baby Phoenix a secret.”
In Hilton’s reaction video, the TV personality held one of her dogs and smiled as she watched the sweet video. “🥹 Thank you for making this beautiful video. Made me cry 🥲,” Hilton wrote across the stitched video.
“So kind & thoughtful to make this & show me their [sic] is kindness in this world 🥰.”

Hilton’s message comes one week after she posted a series of photos of her son, whom she shares with her husband Carter Reum, on Instagram to mark Phoenix’s first trip to New York City. Shortly after sharing, a TikTok user pointed out the negative responses on the post, prompting Hilton to reply that her “angel is perfectly healthy” and “just has a large brain.”
She then expanded on her response to comments about her son’s head in an Instagram Story on Monday. “Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable,” she began.
Hilton wrote that the public’s response “deeply” hurt her. “This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe. I’ve worked hard to cultivate an environment that is all about love, respect, and acceptance, and I expect the same in return,” wrote the new mom.
The Paris in Love star added that navigating motherhood as a social media personality has put her under scrutiny.
“If I don’t post my baby, people assume I’m not a great mother and if I do post him, there are some people who are cruel and hateful I’m a proud working mom and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable and angelic,” Hilton wrote, adding that her son has become the “biggest blessing” in her life.
“I’ve dreamt of being a mom for as long as I can remember,” she explained. “Every day with him is a reminder of what truly matters.”
Hilton concluded, “It’s hard to fathom that there are people in the world who would target such innocence. I hope that people can treat one another with more kindness and empathy.”
Hilton and Reum, 42, quietly welcomed their first child together on Jan. 16 via surrogate after tying the knot in 2021. Hilton announced Phoenix’s arrival eight days after his birth on Instagram with a close-up photo of her holding his hand, writing, “You are already loved beyond words 💙.”
