After sparking outrage across social media following an episode of Paris in Love, in which she confesses to sister Nicky Hilton Rothschild that she was ‘too scared’ to personally change her baby boy, the heiress, 42, informed her more than 16.5 X followers that she was just ‘having a bit of fun’ with viewers.
‘Just wanted to clear the air about something. On my show, #ParisInLove, I joked about changing a diaper for the first time, which, let’s be honest, was just me having a bit of fun,’ she captioned a video showing that she actually changed Phoenix’s diaper the same day he came home from hospital.
She continued: ‘In all seriousness, when it comes to being a mom, I’m fully involved and loving every moment of it. It’s interesting how a playful comment can be taken so seriously.’

Despite explaining that ‘even though this season was the most real, authentic and raw’ she had been with her fans, the mother-of-two admitted that sometimes she still leans into the ‘whimsical character’ she portrayed on The Simple Life.

Paris faced substantial backlash after she acted reluctant to learn to change a dirty diaper in front of your younger sibling.
Nicky acted shocked when Paris said she had ‘never’ changed his diaper, before a nanny stepped in to instruct her which side was the front and back.
The mother-of-three also advised her sister to ‘be gentle’ and ‘get in the little crevices.’
Paris’ nanny also encouraged her to talk to Phoenix while changing him.
In a confessional, Nicky noted that Paris was a total ‘tomboy’ growing up that liked to ‘hang out in the backyard, build forts [and] play with her pet rats.’
‘She wasn’t one to really talk about having a baby,’ Nicky recalled. ‘But motherhood — you gotta get your hands a little bit dirty.’

On Thanksgiving, Paris revealed that she welcomed a baby girl, named London, via surrogate.
Her little girl was born on November 11, 2023, at 11:43 a.m. at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
