On October 12, ET Online reported that the letter sent by Angelina Jolie to Brad Pitt in early 2021 is attracting great attention from the online community on TikTok. According to ET , the letter was found in court documents.

Jolie began by explaining that she had to ‘write this in writing so as not to get emotional’ before mentioning details about the decision to sell the Chateau Miraval estate, the former couple’s common property in France.

“It’s where we brought the twins home and where we got married in front of your mother’s memorial plaque. That place holds promises for the future, and is also where I think I will grow old. Even now I can’t write this without crying. I will cherish the memory of what happened a decade ago,’ the Maleficent actress recalled.

She continued to express her feelings by blaming Brad for believing that his alcohol abuse was the cause of their happy family falling apart. “But it also marked the end of our family – and the business that revolved around wine. I hoped it could somehow become something that binds us together, helping us find light and peace. I know what you want from me now and will probably be happy to receive this letter,’ Jolie wrote.

The mother of 6 children expressed her dissatisfaction with her ex-husband’s inconsiderate behavior, expenses she did not agree with, or decisions without consulting her for 4 years. Jolie felt hurt because she was not respected and thought that the changes Brad Pitt made negatively affected her children.

Jolie criticized her ex-husband for being irresponsible in spreading inappropriate images to sell alcohol without foreseeing situations where their children might see it. To her, alcohol is like an enemy that harms their family. She wanted to get out of the business “for the good of our family and also from a moral standpoint.”

Beauty Salt offered two options for her ex-husband to choose from. In particular, Jolie wants to sell all her shares and at the same time support the Oscar-winning actor to quit the company so they can escape the ‘difficult and painful chapter in their lives’.

“The alternative is for you, the Perrin family or your associates to buy your shares in the joint assets and business. Either way, I believe we need to move forward to heal and focus on the positive bonds of our family,” she advised Brad.

After that, Jolie recalled the fight on the plane in 2016 that led to the decision to divorce. Previously, Jolie accused her ex-husband of strangling and hitting her child in the face. The female director also accused Brad of pouring beer and wine on the children.

“I can’t describe how uncomfortable it is when we get to this point. His dreams for the business and the wine are his own. He made that painfully clear. I hope the best for you in business. I sincerely hope the children feel differently about Miraval when they are older and visit friends there. But Miraval for me passed away in September 2016. Sadly, what I have seen over the years has confirmed that,’ Jolie closed the letter.

Earlier this year, Jolie sold shares in the Chateau Miraval winery to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler. This move led to Brad Pitt suing his ex-wife for selling her shares in the joint property without his consent, intentionally causing harm to him in June. Pitt claimed he and Jolie had a prior agreement. that no share in common property may be sold without the consent of the other person.

In response, in September, Nouvel LLC – the company founded by Angelina – filed a lawsuit in court in Los Angeles for $250 million against Brad, accusing her ex-husband of plotting to turn common property into his own.

ET reached out to representatives for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt for comment on the letter but have not heard back.
