Bronny James was the main focus in the NBA Summer League games, but for all the wrong reasons.
Most basketball fans eagerly awaited to watch LeBron James’ firstborn make his first appearance in the Purple and Gold. However, Bronny not only disappointed them in his debut game but also in the next two games. The 55th draft pick addressed his sloppy start to improve his offensive skills.
“I feel like I’m in a little slump right now,” said Bronny after facing another loss against the Rockets.

Playing for 27 minutes, the point guard scored 8 points with incredible difficulty. Bronny attempted 14 shots from the field, but only 3 hit the actual spot, and his 3-pointers were a disaster. The 19-year-old made 8 shots from the deep, hoping that at least one would reach the target, but he couldn’t succeed.
Bronny’s only impressive performance on Friday night was grabbing 5 rebounds for the team, but it wasn’t enough for the franchise to snatch the win.
The new head coach, JJ Redick, defended Bronny and suggested that he should focus on his defensive skills to excel at them. However, he also needs to sharpen his offensive skills, which caused him to suffer in the Summer League games.
Bronny James’ Offensive Struggle
Bronny James has showcased a glimpse of his potential as a defender, but he has struggled to score points for the team. This was evident in the three games he played.
The young guard opened the league with four points against the Kings, which dipped to three when the Lakers faced the Heat. Bronny needed to work way more on his shooting.
Bronny scored 3 baskets in the first two games while attempting 14 shots from the floor. From the 3-point range, he tried shooting 4 times, but his shots refused to result in a bucket. The young guard has a lot of work to do to redeem himself in the upcoming regular season.
