The Dallas Cowboys lost an embarrassing game to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

Mike McCarthy may not survive this latest playoff loss. Mike McCarthy’s future with the Dak Prescott-led Cowboys might be in question amid their NFL Playoffs loss to the Packers. It wasn’t just a regular loss as the Packers manhandled the team from start to finish.

There may never be a better time for the Dallas Cowboys to move on from Mike McCarthy than right now. Not everybody feels that way.

NFL Network insider Jane Slater reported that the players actually feel as if they failed the coach, not the other way around.

“To the fans, who think this team has quit on Mike McCarthy my conversations with players don’t tell me that AT all. Really interesting hearing them defend him, his culture & how he’s lead them on the field and off of it. Their ownership of failing Mike is what stands out the most,” she reported.

The Cowboys were expected to be more disciplined since the game was to be played at AT&T Stadium, a place where they hadn’t loss all season long.

Jordan Love finished the day 16-of-21 passing for 272 yards and three touchdowns. His passer rating was 157.2. That’s tied for the best debut in NFL history with Houston Texans rookie C.J. Stroud, who was 16-of-21 passing for 274 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday against Cleveland.

Dallas is the first team to win at least 12 games in three consecutive playoff seasons without making a conference title game.
