There are reportedly four strong candidates to succeed Jim Harbaugh at Michigan if he ends up leaving the Wolverines in the coming weeks.

One week after leading Michigan to a national championship game victory over the Washington Huskies, Harbaugh had an interview with the Los Angeles Chargers for their head coaching vacancy.

If Harbaugh ends up going back to the NFL? There are four notable candidates to take over as head coach, according to Bruce Feldman of The Athletic.

Feldman reports that Wolverines offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore, Kansas head coach Lance Leipold, Kansas State HC Chris Klieman and LSU HC Brian Kelly are all candidates to replace Harbaugh.

The Wolverines are a marquee football program and would have no problem landing another big-named head coach from another school to take over. Just look at how the Alabama Crimson Tide quickly managed to land Washington HC Kalen DeBoer following Nick Saban’s abrupt retirement.
