This was bound to happen. With the stands at Buffalo’s Highmark Stadium packed with snow, you just knew snowballs would be made and thrown.

The Buffalo Bills 31-17 playoff win against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday featured snowball barrages by fans.

Many of Bills Mafia had already been handling the snow at Highmark Stadium, as the team recruited local fans to help shovel the stadium and clear the snow from the weekend blizzard.

Fans took it upon themselves to pelt players with the snow throughout the game, most notably when Pickens tried to catch a ball for a touchdown.

The incident happened with 12:12 remaining in regulation and the Steelers throwing into the end zone.

Fans couldn’t believe the bills fan base kept getting away with it:

For the most part on Monday, Bills fans kept the snow confined to the stands for touchdown celebrations.

Josh Allen passed for three touchdowns and rushed for another to lead the Buffalo Bills to a 31-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in an AFC wild-card game on Monday. Allen completed 21 of 30 passes for 203 yards and rushed for 74 yards on eight carries.

The Bills will host the third-seeded Kansas City Chiefs in next weekend’s divisional round.
