Jeremy Sochan and Victor Wembanyama were the Spurs’ only two representatives at All-Star Weekend this year.
They therefore logically spent time together, even if it could have ended very badly because of a thoughtless gesture from the former leader…
Victor Wembanyama was not alone in Indianapolis this weekend, he was able to count on the presence of several familiar faces.
The first was obviously that of Bilal Coulibaly, and like in the heyday of Metropolitans 92, they found themselves in the same team during the Rising Stars Challenge. Unfortunately, they did not have as glorious a journey as in Betclic Elite.
The other face he was able to turn to during the festivities was that of his friend Jeremy Sochan, drafted last minute.
They shared a few moments in training, and in an innocuous action, the one who started the season as leader for the Spurs attracted the wrath of the fans.
Indeed, he listened to the little voice in his head and could have seriously hurt the prodigy:

The problem is that Victor Wembanyama was not about to take a simple shot, he put all his strength into his right arm to make a one-handed basket for his own side.
Stopping his action in this way could therefore have led to a dislocation of the shoulder or a serious muscle injury. Moreover, he immediately grabbed his arm…
Obviously, the fans are angry with Jeremy Sochan for having taken this reckless risk.

Jeremy Sochan wanted to play a little joke on his teammate, but the consequences could have been disastrous… The fans complained about it, even if in the end, everything got back to normal fairly quickly.
