The Brookline home that All-Star point guard Kemba Walker owned was sold, months after the Boston Celtics traded him to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

This week, the Norfolk County Registry District of the Land Court made public papers and an Instagram post by Samantha Stumpo, founder of Newbrook Realty. The documents show that the 9,592-square-foot Brookline mansion at 37 Sears Road closed on October 26 for an unknown amount. Since then, Stumpo has sold the house twice.

Several people in Boston’s home real estate market told Boston.com over months that a private sale was being thought about.

Walker was traded to the Thunder, but in August, the Thunder got out of their deal with him, so he ended up with the Knicks.

Cindy Stumpo and her team at C. Stumpo Development built the land. There are reports that the agreed-upon selling price was more than the $11.25 million that Walker paid for it in 2019, even though it wasn’t on the public market.

The 2019 ads for the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home say that it has a paneled library, a spacious main suite, four en-suite bedrooms with 14-foot tray ceilings, a 22-foot custom iron entryway, and a custom double bridal iron staircase. A property was advertised two years ago as having “estate expansion potential” and “secluded living.”

Boston.com tried to talk to Samantha Stumpo on Friday night, but she wouldn’t answer. The same thing happened when they tried to talk to Cindy Stumpo. When people were asked for responses from representatives of their own companies, there was also silence.

But there have been a lot of sales of athlete homes in the area, and the Walker house sale was the most recent one.

The Celtics got center-forward Al Horford from the Thunder in the June Walker trade. He has since moved into a different Stumpo house close to the Sears Road farm.

Most of the attention, though, was on Walker’s side of the Country Club at the end of the previous year. In the same way that Walker bought a house, Tom Brady’s 12,112-square-foot home at 112 Woodland Road was taken off the market. When Brady’s house was last on the market, it sold for $33.9 million, but that information was also kept secret.
