Stephen Curry walked off the court huffing and puffing as the Dubs lost 144-145 in a double overtime titan clash. Tonight’s Lakers vs Warriors game was the first meeting of the two dynasties. Suffice it to say, it was a thrilling matchup.
Curry could be seen ripping his jersey while walking back to the locker room in frustration. We don’t blame him. The Warriors were still in the lead with just 4.7 seconds left in the second OT, courtesy of none other than Chef Curry. But LeBron James‘ free throws ended the brief exhilaration.

Steph carried the major load as he finished with a game-high 46 points. Yet, Curry wasn’t enough to carry GSW over the edge. Both the teams started strong, with the Purple & Gold finishing strong in the first half. But the third quarter saw Golden State score 36 points to take the lead into the fourth quarter.
The nail-biting episode would have ended in the regular time if Anthony Davis‘ injury hadn’t slowed him down.
Curry vs LeBron
As luck would have it (for the fans, that is), a Steph Curry bucket on AD tied the game, sending it into overtime. The Dubs were determined to not let this opportunity go to waste. The first overtime saw both teams trade blows one after another, keeping everyone on their toes.
LA had yet another chance to finish this OT with a win, but James missed the game-winner. The 4x champion decided to take things into his own hands as he scored four of the first seven points in the second OT, giving the Lakers a boost.
But Steph was just as determined, hitting a clutch three-pointer for a one-point lead. However, the Purple & Gold were still reeling from James’ momentum as they got him the ball to hit his final free throws to get that much-needed victory.
And just like that, the Lakers started their Grammy trip with a win.
