Curry ripped his jersey off after overtime loss on Saturday
Despite Stephen Curry’s outstanding performance on Saturday, a 46-point effort, including a season-high nine made triples, he couldn’t secure a home victory for the Golden State Warriors against LeBron James and the LA Lakers.
Curry’s clutch 3-pointer with 4.7 seconds remaining in the second overtime momentarily gave the Warriors a 144-143 lead, but James’ composed execution at the free-throw line sealed a 145-144 road win for the Lakers.
Curry’s remarkable night included seven assists, three rebounds, and one steal, showcasing his scoring prowess and playmaking ability. However, the spotlight belonged to James, who notched a monumental triple-double and delivered the game-winning free throws.
What did Steph Curry do?
In a moment of frustration after the loss, Curry was visibly agitated, venting by nearly tearing his jersey in half while shouting. Fans on X (formerly Twitter) quickly reacted to the scene, with references to a past interview with Ayesha Curry. The mention of “feet pics” recalled Ayesha’s playful acknowledgment of her husband’s foot fetish, a revelation she made on “The Real Show” years ago.
Stephen Curry now has 40 career games with 9+ threes, the most such games in NBA history.
That's more than the next four players on the list COMBINED.

Despite holding a 99-91 advantage entering the fourth quarter, the Warriors saw their lead diminish as the Lakers mounted a comeback. Golden State, known for its dominance in the third quarter, was outscored 36-23 by the Lakers in that period. LeBron James, orchestrating plays and scoring crucial baskets, led the Lakers’ resurgence.
Curry, usually the NBA’s deadliest shooter, struggled in the fourth quarter, going 2-for-9 with two turnovers, as the Lakers’ defense tightened its grip. While LA’s defensive efforts deserve credit, Curry had missed opportunities that could have made it harder for James and his team to stage a comeback.
Despite a valiant effort in the following two five-minute extensions, Curry couldn’t prevent the Lakers from clawing back. His shooting prowess returned, but James’ late-game heroics, including two crucial go-ahead free throws in the second overtime, ultimately secured the victory for the Lakers over the Warriors.
