Brotherly Bond Shines Bright as LeBron James’ Younger Son Bryce Enjoys U-Turn Decision With Scottie Pippen’s Son Justin

Coming into the league in 2003, LeBron James was one of the most hyped draft prospects. Before even playing a single minute in the NBA, Sports Illustrated anointed him as the “chosen one”. Now, well into his 21st season, it is safe to suggest that LeBron met those lofty standards. However, LeBron is in the twilight years of his career, but he has his sons, Bronny and Bryce, to take his legacy forward.

Bryce James has come into the limelight for returning to his elder brother’s high school team, Sierra Canyon. In a recent video, Bryce’s brotherly bond with Scottie Pippen’s son, Justin Pippen, seems quite evident.

Bryce and Justin dominating with Sierra Canyon

Recently, Bryce re-posted a video edit made by Roarin.tv on his Instagram account. The video is a mixtape of Sierra Canyon’s remarkable season so far. At the moment, the Trail Blazers have won fourteen consecutive games. This season, Sierra Canyon has lost just once in 20 games, with their sole loss coming at the hands of Desert Mountain. Both Bryce and Justin have played an important part in Sierra Canyon’s incredible run.

However, Bryce didn’t start the season with the Trail Blazers. He enrolled in Sherman Oaks Notre Dame’s basketball program last year. But, in late November (2023), it was reported that Bryce returned to Sierra Canyon. Bryce has been a part of Sierra Canyon’s basketball program since the 7th grade. Last year, he played with his elder brother, Bronny, when he was a sophomore.

Bryce had limited playing time as a starter due to his young age. However, this season, Bryce has become an integral part of a dominant Trail Blazers’ side. With Bryce showing flashes of brilliance, is he good enough to make it to the NBA, or is it premature to think about his NBA prospects?

Can Bronny and Bryce fulfill LeBron James’ dream?

Both Bronny and Bryce have shown immense promise in their young basketball careers. They have become two of the most hyped-up prospects because of their association with LeBron James. However, being LeBron’s children is a double-edged sword, as fans will have lofty expectations of them. But in their young career, the brothers have shown that they can deal with adversity.

Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest in late July 2023. This incident cast doubt on his aspirations to play in the NBA. Nevertheless, Bronny made a swift recovery within six months and has since competed for USC in his collegiate career. As of now, Bronny is projected to be a late first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Whereas, Bryce still has to wait at least two years to become eligible for the NBA Draft.
