Anthony Davis made NBA history during Thursday’s game.

On Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are at the Target Center facing off against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

During the game, Anthony Davis made NBA history by moving up on the all-time scoring list.

The 2020 NBA Champion moved ahead of Nate Archibald (16,481) for 106th on the list.

Following Archibald, the next player for Davis to pass will be Latrell Sprewell (16,712).

Davis came into the night with averages of 24.0 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.5 blocks per contest while shooting 54.6% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range in 26 games.

The Lakers are 15-13 in their first 28 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

Anthony Davis, Lakers surge past Timberwolves

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Most recently, the Lakers lost to the Chicago Bulls at the United Center (on Wednesday) by a score of 124-108.

In 38 minutes of playing time, Davis had 19 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 7/15 from the field.

Following the Timberwolves, the Lakers will visit the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday evening.

Davis was the first pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Kentucky and is in his 12th season in the league.

In addition to the Lakers, he also spent the first seven seasons of his career playing for the New Orleans Pelicans.

His career averages are 24.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.3 blocks per contest.
