KD agrees that what LeBron is doing is “absolutely, utterly staggering.”

LeBron James has had an all-time great career so far, even if he probably has the same number of fans and detractors.

Despite what people may say about him, no one can question the fact no other player can lay claim to being the standard of longevity in the NBA.

No other player in NBA history has had better seasons than James in their 20th and 21st years in the league.

The future Hall of Famer’s apparent immortality had Kevin Durant applauding his rival and good friend.

“When he’s in 17th, 18th year, it’s just like, ‘Damn, that actually is dope,'” Durant said of what LeBron has been doing in recent years.

“When you’re 39 and in your 20th year, and half your life is in the league, and you played against 40% of the players that’s ever played in the league, that longevity has to mean something.

That has to be a standard.”

To KD’s point, it is impressive that James has spent more than half his life lacing them up in the pro ranks.

What’s more awe-inspiring is that the Los Angeles Lakers superstar remains one of the best players in the league, averaging 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game on 52.0% shooting from the field so far in this campaign and proving his athleticism still hasn’t tailed off that much.

The Phoenix Suns superstar remarked that some players display greatness through contending for championships and accumulating accolades that span just several years.

That’s not the case for the four-time MVP, though. After leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Finals at 22, James is a massive reason the Lakers have a fighting chance to compete for the title nearly 17 years later.
