Taylor Swift seemingly SNUBS Travis Kelce in Grammys speech – but makes veiled NOD to ex Joe Alwyn

Taylor Swift seemingly snubbed her current boyfriend Travis Kelce in her Grammys acceptance speech – but did however make an alleged veiled nod to her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

The 34-year-old hitmaker, who has been dating the Kansas City Chiefs tight end since last summer, didn’t mention Travis in either of her Grammys 2024 acceptance speeches last night. Taylor won Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the awards last night, with both gongs awarded to her for her 2022 album Midnights.

While accepting each of her awards, Taylor did not utter a word about her current boyfriend, but did however announce that on April 19 she’d be releasing a brand new album – despite fans being convinced that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) was going to be announced after weeks of speculation.

When she picked up the gong for Best Pop Vocal Album – her first award of the night – Taylor gushed: “Okay, this is my 13th Grammy, which is my lucky number. I don’t know if I’ve ever told you that.”

She went on: “I want to say thank you to the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way, but I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans. So I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I have been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand-new album comes out April 19th.”

Taylor then revealed: “It’s called ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’ I’m going to go and post the cover right now backstage. Thank you, I love you! Thank you!”

Since Taylor announced the name of her new album, fans have been convinced that the title of it is a veiled dig at her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, whom she split from last April. It was reported in 2022 that Joe was part of a group chat with fellow actors Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal titled ‘Tortured Man Club’ – which now sounds very familiar and much like the title of his ex-girlfriends new album.

“TAYLOR YOU ARE GENIUS,” penned one fan on X when they realised that Taylor’s new album has a striking similarity to the name of a group chat Joe once mentioned. Another speculated: “Taylor dragging Joe on The Tortured Poets Department April 19.”

Taylor and Joe split last April, with the news of their six-year-long romance ending making headlines immediately. Fans were devastated that the couple had split, with Taylor then moving on with Matty Healy for a brief summer fling before striking up a relationship with Travis Kelce in late summer and going public in September.
