A group of former X Factor contestants plan to sue Simon Cowell ‘s company SyCo due to unfair treatment, neglect and bullying.

According to Sunday Mirror , an anonymous singer recounted: “Participating in X Factor was a scary experience. I and 5 former contestants gathered to demand justice. Simon needs to take responsibility. We have suffered a lot due to having to deal with deep-seated trauma from the program.”

Complainants claim that contestants often suffer from insomnia and psychological trauma before going on stage.

According to The Mirror , the lawsuit is potentially worth £1 million. The petitioners claim the group seeks justice and wants compensation for medical treatment. They have evidence including emails, audio recordings and psychological evaluations. According to the group of contestants, the public will see a side contrary to the glamor of the famous show.

Responding to the above information, SyCo said that Simon Cowell did not know about the allegations and was not involved in the alleged acts.

An X Factor spokesman said: “Contestant welfare is our number one priority. We are not aware of any legal claims against X Factor. Although it has not been broadcast for several years, we are ready to discuss with those who are interested.”

According to Daily Mail , in the near future, devastating allegations about X Factor will also be broadcast in a TV show. The show, made by two prominent production companies, included allegations of bullying, exploitation and harassment behind the camera. A number of X Factor stars , creators and former Simon staff have agreed to take part.

Last year, former finalist Katie Waissel claimed to have been sexually assaulted by show staff. 2010 runner-up Rebecca Ferguson filed a police report because she was harassed and coerced by a famous male figure in the industry. 2014 runner-up Fleur East also claimed Cowell delayed her career.
