SIMON Cowell will be less than impressed after an insulting statue of him was erected inside a Las Vegas hotel.

The music mogul was gifted the gold bust by his America’s Got Talent co-star Sofia Vergara as a prank on TV earlier this year.

Insiders revealed the statue, which has a huge nose and enormous teeth, has now been erected inside the Luxor hotel where Simon’s live version of his Got Talent format is now ongoing.

Simon, 62, previously described the bust as “ugly”.

The statue will remind fans of one created for Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo in 2017 – which looked nothing like him.

Creator Emanuel Santos was ridiculed for the bronze bust, which was created to mark the renaming of Madeira’s airport to Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport.

Fans saw the bust at the interactive display within the Luxor Theater’s purpose built foyet at the official opening night of AGT Live.

Over 3000 audience members gave standing ovations over two shows to performers. including magician Dustin Tavella, singer Kodi Lee, comedian Preacher Lawson, acrobatic act Duo Transcend and mind readers the Clairvoyants on Wednesday night.

Simon said of the show: “I’ve always said you have to see it in real life instead of just watching on TV because to be that close up to something, to hear these singers and see the acts, it’s a whole different experience.

“And honestly, for me it’s a dream come true. I never ever thought I would have a show on in Vegas.

“It’s almost like you’re trying to create your perfect final on the TV show.”
