Simon Cowell has shared how he only works four days a week – and revealed the four strict rules for work he never breaks. Simon spoke out to the Sun newspaper ahead of the America’s Got Talent Fantasy League spin-off launching, which is a branch off from ITV show Britain’s Got Talent.

Show creator Simon alarmed fans with his unrecognisable appearance and drastically different look on the red carpet earlier this week. Simon wore coloured lenses and a tight blue top, as fans speculated “what’s happened to his face?” on social media sites, including Twitter/X.

“Actually, the first thing (I do) is take off Fridays. Don’t work on Fridays, because you don’t have to,” he told The Sun. “Eat dinner at five o ‘clock. Don’t take calls after 5.30. Don’t read emails after 5.30. Watch a happy movie.” Simon went on, telling the newspaper: “And stay outside.”

He added: “I’m not kidding about the Fridays. I don’t think anyone should be working five days a week. It’s just pointless.” He added: “You’ve got to be absolutely focused, because they know when you’re faking it, and it’s kind of like, ‘Okay, what do you want to do today?’”

“‘I want to drive 25 miles to buy a Pokemon card’,” he said. Simon shares son Eric with Lauren Silverman. He commented: “I’m like, ‘Brilliant! We’ll do it.’ And you just kind of just got to go there, you know? And it really is worth it. “ Speaking out about the new spin-off, Simon was full of beans.

“Do something you enjoy. It’s that,” he gushed. Simon – who will be joined by the likes of Heidi Klum on the show – added: “I’ve really enjoyed doing this. I really, really have enjoyed it, because I’ve really enjoyed the mentoring aspect, more than anything else, like the acts.”
